Basic Tour Information

• Accommodation: This is a round trip and you will visit different regions and mountains in Macedonia. We will have transfers from different areas and cities with durations of 20 minutes to 2 hours. We stay in three-star hotels with comfortable rooms.
• Gear: Hiking gear + casual clothing for evenings
• Weather: Expect changeable conditions – sun, fog, and occasional rain

Journey Day by Day

Day 1 – Arrival in Skopje

Meet your guide at Skopje Airport. Optional short walk in the city. Overnight in Skopje with welcome dinner and tour briefing.

Day 2 – Mount Vodno & Matka Canyon

• Cable car to Vodno peak (1060 m)
• Hike to Matka Canyon, visiting a cliffside 14th-century monastery
• Transfer to Bitola (2 hrs)

Hike: 12 km | 3–4 hrs | Descent: 740 m

Day 3 – Molika Pines in Pelister National Park

• Forest trail through Molika pine trees and panoramic viewpoints
• Traditional lunch in a nearby village with honey tasting

Hike: 10 km | 3–4 hrs | Elevation gain: 400 m

Day 4 – Hike in Maloviste Village

• Scenic hike from Maloviste to ridge above 2010 m via Sv. Ana Monastery
• Drive to Ohrid (40 min), overnight stay

Hike: 12 km | 4 hrs | Elevation gain: 800 m

Day 5 – Explore Ohrid (Rest Day)

• Guided tour of Ohrid Old Town
• Optional: Wine tasting over dinner

Day 6 – Galichica Village Hike

• Hike from Velestovo → Elen Peak → Elshani or Pestani
• Visit Bay of Bones, St. Naum Monastery, lunch in Trpejca
• Return by boat to Ohrid

Hike: 10 km | 3 hrs | +130 m / -310 m

Day 7 – Mavrovo NP & Sokolica

• Hike from Lazaropole to Sokolica Peak
• Visit Rostuse Waterfall & Bigorski Monastery
• Lunch in a traditional restaurant, transfer to Skopje

Hike: 5 km | 2 hrs | ±200 m elevation

Day 8 – Departure

Transfer to Skopje Airport for your departure flight.
